No judgement if you haven’t had a chance to pick up (or order) a gift for your mom for Mother’s Day! There is still time for Amazon Prime (depending on when you are reading this!) and if not, there are many other great options!

Here are my top 8 Mother’s Day gifts this year!

1.  Storyworth

This is my favorite gift idea for 2019. Storyworth is a website that helps you (or whomever you gift a subscription to) to write your memoir!

This is how it works:

-Purchase subscription (if you use my link you get $10 off!)

-They email the gift announcement to whomever you want, on whatever date you want.

-The recipient receives an email every week for a year, with questions for them to answer.

-After a year, all of their stories are printed out in a hardcover book!

I think this is the coolest idea and I want my mom, grandmas and dad to do them, and I want to do one for my son! This is such a special way to learn more about the people we love, and have a way to pass their stories down to our kids, grandkids and beyond. I wish I had known about this before my grandpas passed away, as I am constantly thinking of things I wish I would have asked them when I had the chance.

2.  Plants!

If your mom is obsessed with gardening, plants, flowers (like my mom!) then this is the perfect easy last-minute gift idea! A bouquet of flowers is pretty, but a potted plant or something she can plant outdoors lasts much longer (usually!)

If you are looking at outdoor plants, I would definitely make sure it is something your mom actually enjoys, otherwise a nice indoor plant (that isn’t toxic to her pets!) is a better idea. When my husband got me a plant that attracts hummingbirds, he knew it was also his job to dig the hole and keep it alive, because while I enjoy looking at plants, I am really good at killing them, and have no interest in doing the actual planting.

Make sure to do a bit of research to ensure the type of plant can survive in the environment in which it is going to be living!

This gift is easy because you can drop by your nearest nursery and have a beautiful and thoughtful gift last minute! For Easter my toddler decorated flower pots and we planted flowers for his grandmas and aunts and they all went crazy for them! This is a fun idea if you have littles!

I’m obsessed with this flower pot on Amazon Prime. It is affordable and I think one on each side of the front door would look super cute. I can actually think of a ton of places to use this pot!

3.  InstaShiatsu Massager

I got one of these for Christmas and it is AMAZING. I was seriously impressed on how good the quality of the massage is, and it has heat to loosen up those tense muscles! Oh and they are available on Amazon Prime! Order while you still can and before they sell out!

4.  Jewelry

My favorite Mom Jewelry is from Lisa Leonard, I have a personalized ring with my sons name on it, and it means everything to me! It is beautiful and hand crafted, and I’m obsessed. I have a large wishlist of items from Lisa Leonard. My husband has a personalized key ring from the men’s collection. I ordered some special gifts for this year from Lisa as well, but I can’t share them yet, in case my mom reads this 🙂

Everytime I have ordered I have gotten my items way quicker than promised, but with Mother’s Day coming up fast, I doubt that will be the case right now. Lisa offers faster shipping for a charge, and it is totally worth it! She is also advertising she has ready to ship items available! Sign up for her mailing list to get discounts throughout the year and plan out future gifts. I always stock up on gifts when I have discount codes.

5.  Homemade Beauty Products

I LOVE making and receiving homemade body scrubs and body butters, and they are SO easy to make! I linked a couple of simple recipes from Pinterest, but feel free to search the abundance of pins available to find the perfect recipe for your mom!

6.  Gift Cards and e-gift cards.

I freaking LOVE gift cards. I never get offended by gift cards, because I enjoy picking out what I want. My favorite gift cards are ones to the day spa and Starbucks, but gift cards to my favorite restaurants and the movies are much appreciated as well!

7.  Plan a Fun Day!

Check out Groupon for local deals. I buy tons of cool local deals on Groupon for WAY LESS MONEY! I frequently get discounts to local wineries for wine tasting, spa services, restaurants and trips to the zoo!

8. Snack Boxes!

My dad and I like to send my grandma packages of different snacks to enjoy. She loves it! My favorite one to send is one full of delicious fruits and yummy snacks from Harry and David.

Use your gut!

Chances are, you know your mom best, so use your best judgement on choosing a Mother’s Day gift. Most likely she would prefer to spend some time with you for Mother’s Day, so if that is an option, I highly recommend it! Some of the best Mother’s Days with my mom have been having a low key barbecue at my house while I cook and she relaxes with a fresh watermelon margarita.

I wish you a Happy Mother’s Day if you are a mom, and I hope this last minute gift guide has been helpful for you!
